    Order Processing & Cancellation

    At Rare Beauty, we carefully handpick and prepare your beauty essentials with precision. Orders typically begin processing within 24 hours of purchase to ensure quality control. If you wish to cancel, please email [email protected] within this 24-hour window. Once processing begins (after 24 hours), cancellations cannot be accommodated as our team starts preparing your personalized beauty package. However, our extended return window gives you ample time to reconsider your purchase.


    Returns & Exchanges

    We understand that finding your perfect beauty match takes time. That's why we offer a 21-day return window from the delivery date - significantly longer than industry standards for cosmetics. You may return unopened, factory-sealed products for a full refund, or exchange them for alternative shades/formulas. For hygiene reasons, opened makeup products can only be returned if defective (see conditions below). Skincare items with safety seals intact may qualify for exchanges.


    Return Conditions

    All returned items must be in original, resalable condition: makeup must have unbroken seals and original packaging; skincare requires intact outer seals and minimum 90% product volume. For health and safety compliance, any product showing signs of use (swatched, pumped, or with broken seals) will be rejected unless reporting a quality issue. Please include all original boxes, inserts, and free gifts received with your order. Damaged returns due to improper packaging will not qualify for refunds - we recommend using our prepaid return label service for protection.


    Exchange Conditions

    Exchanges are available for the same product in different shades or similar products of equal value. Our beauty advisors will help you find your perfect match if the original shade doesn't work. Due to the perishable nature of cosmetics, exchanges must be requested within 14 days of delivery. We'll ship your replacement within 7-10 business days after receiving and inspecting your return. For limited edition collections, exchanges depend on current availability - our customer service team will suggest alternatives if your desired item is sold out.


    Return Shipping

    We provide complimentary return shipping labels for defective items or orders over $50. For standard returns, a $6.99 restocking fee applies to cover processing and sanitation procedures required for cosmetics. This fee is waived for VIP members (after 3+ purchases). International returns may incur additional customs fees - we recommend contacting our beauty concierge at [email protected] before initiating international returns.


    Refund Processing

    Refunds are processed within 10-18 business days after we receive and inspect your return. This extended period ensures proper quality checks for all beauty products. You'll receive email confirmation at each stage: return receipt, inspection completion, and refund issuance. Funds typically appear in your account 3-5 business days after processing, depending on your financial institution. Sale items are refunded at the purchase price, while gift cards/store credit are issued for final sale products.


    Quality Issues

    If you receive a damaged or defective product, please contact us within 7 days of delivery with photos/video evidence. We'll expedite a replacement (subject to availability) or full refund, including return shipping costs. For suspected allergic reactions, discontinue use immediately and consult a physician. While we cannot refund for allergic responses (as individual sensitivities vary), our beauty experts can recommend alternative formulations.


    Refund Inquiries

    If your refund hasn't processed after 18 business days: (1) Check your spam folder for our inspection completion email (2) Verify with your bank regarding pending transactions (3) For unresolved cases, email [email protected] with your order number and 'Refund Inquiry' in the subject line. Our Beauty Support team will investigate and respond within 3 business days, providing tracking details and resolution options.
